There's a hidden part of your mind storing every painful experience you've ever had—and using them against you. Here's how to take back control.

The Part of Your Mind You Don't Know Exists

The Part of Your Mind You Don't Know Exists

You think you know your own mind.

You know what you want. You know what you believe. You know why you do what you do.

But there's a part of your mind you don't even know exists—and it's been controlling your behavior your entire life.

The Hidden Controller

Most people in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and across South Africa go through life thinking they're in control of their decisions and behavior.

But then they:

React in ways they don't understand.

Repeat patterns they swore they'd break.

Feel emotions that don't match the situation.

Make choices that hurt them—over and over.

You tell yourself it's just "who you are." But it's not.

It's your reactive mind—and it's been running the show without you even knowing it.

What Is the Reactive Mind?

The reactive mind is the part of your mind that stores painful experiences. Every moment of pain, fear, loss, unconsciousness, or trauma you've ever experienced is recorded there as an engram.

Unlike your analytical mind (the part that thinks and reasons), your reactive mind doesn't think. It just reacts—automatically, instantly, without your permission.

When something in your present life reminds you of an old pain, your reactive mind takes control. It forces you to react the same way you did back then, whether it makes sense or not.

You don't even realize it's happening. You just feel the emotion and react.

How It Controls You

Here's an example:

Let's say when you were three years old, you fell down the stairs and got hurt. Your mother was angry and yelled at you for being careless. You felt pain, fear, and shame all at once.

Your reactive mind recorded that entire scene—the physical pain, the yelling, the feeling of being "bad."

Now, 30 years later, someone raises their voice at you. It's not even directed at you—maybe they're just excited or stressed. But your reactive mind sees "yelling" and connects it to that old recording.

Suddenly, you feel fear and shame. You shut down or get defensive. You might even feel physical tension in your body—like you're about to fall again.

You don't think, "This reminds me of falling down the stairs." You just react.

The South African Context

In South Africa, many of us carry deep engrams from:

Violence and trauma.

Economic hardship and uncertainty.

Family dysfunction and conflict.

The legacy of apartheid and systemic oppression.

These experiences create powerful reactive patterns that control our behavior for decades—often without us even knowing why we feel and act the way we do.

How to Take Back Control

The good news? You can take back control from your reactive mind.

Dianetics provides the exact method to find the engrams controlling your behavior and erase their power over you.

Once you locate and process an engram, it loses its ability to control you. The pattern stops—not because you're "trying harder," but because the root cause is gone.

What Happens When You Break Free

Imagine:

Finally understanding why you react the way you do.

Breaking patterns that have controlled you for years.

Feeling in control of your emotions and behavior.

Living the life you actually want—not the life your reactive mind forces on you.

This isn't theory. Over 20 million people worldwide have used Dianetics to discover the hidden part of their mind and take back control of their lives.
