My Journey: From Addiction to Advocacy

How Dianetics transformed my life and inspired 32 years of humanitarian work

The Beginning: Brisbane and the Church

I'm Tony Peacock, an Australian who moved to South Africa, married a South African, and made this country my home. I grew up in Brisbane in a traditional Church of England family. I attended Sunday school, studied the catechism, was baptized, and served as an altar boy. My father sang in the choir. We were a religious family.

The Descent: Addiction Takes Hold

But that didn't protect me from addiction. A neighbor introduced me to marijuana, and I started traveling around Australia, chasing drugs and alcohol wherever I could find them. It got worse and worse.

I had no confidence in my ability to create a future. I was always looking somewhere else for answers: tarot card readers asking "What's going to happen to me?", clairvoyants asking "Is anything good going to happen?", astrology, numerology—desperately hoping someone could tell me I'd be okay. I tried everything while still drinking and using drugs.

The Turning Point: Discovering Dianetics

Then at 25, I discovered Dianetics and Scientology. That's when everything changed. Over the past 32 years, I haven't just overcome my addictions—I've built a life of purpose and contribution. I stopped looking outside myself for answers and became causative over my own life.

The Commitment: 12 Years of Service

After my transformation, I dedicated 12 years of my life serving as Church staff in Australia. This wasn't just a job—it was my way of giving back and helping others find the same freedom I had discovered.

The Vision: Southern Africa's Future

I believe deeply in L. Ron Hubbard's 1960 prophecy that Southern Africa will become the next great civilization. After serving 12 years as Church staff in Australia, I moved to South Africa in 2022 to be part of that vision. Since arriving, I've invested significantly in programs that help capable people become even more capable.

The Mission: Help the Able Become More Able

My mission is simple: help the able become more able. I continue researching mental health solutions available to South Africans because I want others to find what actually works—just like I did.

Why this website? Because you can't build a great civilization using approaches that keep people dependent. You need technology that makes people causative. I created this site to share my research with fellow South Africans who refuse to settle for ineffective solutions.
